On August 20, 2011, Llezelle earned 62% of the primary votes and won the Democratic nomination for Clerk of Court for the City of Charlottesville.
Llezelle has been a Charlottesville assistant public defender since 2000 and a member of the Charlottesville City School Board since 2008. As the next Clerk of Court, she will raise the level of customer service and bring public records online.
Llezelle and her husband, Alan, moved to Charlottesville in 1990 as newlyweds. David Toscano, and his law partner, Bruce Williamson, hired her straight out of college as their legal secretary. After two years with Williamson & Toscano, she attended law school graduating in 1995. Following her graduation, Llezelle joined the Charlottesville legal community as a lawyer with a strong commitment to public service.
